God accepts everyone. There are absolutely no exceptions. If you can believe He sent His son to die and take away the unacceptable, and simply take His hand, you can live an acceptable life in His eyes.

Rahab was a prostitute. The Israelites were about to cross over into the promised land, but before they did, Joshua sent spies to scout out the land. The king heard about it and went looking for the spies. All Rahab did was hide the spies that Joshua had sent, but she became a part of the lineage of Jesus, the Messiah.

Rahab certainly would have been the last person in the world to be chosen.  A prostitute? Really! Why did God send those spies to her house? She knew about the God of Israel. Here’s what she said to the spies: “I know that the Lord has given you the land” …..” for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.” Joshua 2:9,11

Saul was a devout Jew, an educated man. He thought Christians were enemies of God and so he killed them, persecuted the church. But one day as he was riding his horse on the way to Damascus, he fell off and was blinded. He remained blind for several days. But his eyes were opened and he saw that Jesus was the Messiah and that Christians were correct in believing in Him. God changed his name to Paul – the apostle Paul. He is responsible for writing, under God’s direction, more than half the New Testament in the bible.

And then there’s me. Ellen Bailey, a mess. Blown opportunities to be used of God. Not a very good wife or mother. Full of anger, bitterness over years of childhood abuse. Years of doing her own thing. Years of living for herself. She’s getting older now. Why would God give her another chance? He did indeed give me another chance. You see, He never gave up on me becoming the person He created me to be. At 56 years old, He gave me an opportunity to become involved full time in ministry! If God can accept me, God accepts everyone.

Romans 8:1 says “there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”. He does not condemn, He accepts.
